Journaling is a Healthy Way For Young People To Express Their Emotions

It’s a way for young people to understand themselves, others and the world around them. It gives them the opportunity to:

  • Learn to be better communicators and problem solvers
  • Address and express emotions that are too confusing, too painful or too shameful to talk about without fear of judgment
  • Clarify what is going on in their head
  • Increase self-confidence
  • Accept their uniqueness
  • Reflect on what they are grateful for
  • Celebrate their achievements
  • Help them bounce back from challenging times
  • Boost creativity

In addition to all of these wonderful benefits, keeping a journal allows them to track patterns, trends and improvement and growth over time. When a current circumstance may appear as a difficult challenge, they will be able to look back on previous challenging circumstances and reflect on how they overcame it so they can apply what they learned to help them bounce back quicker.

JOIN THE FREE 30 DAY JOURNALING CHALLENGE STARTING

Each day for 30 days, young people will be able to experience the benefits of journaling by answering a daily question.
By exploring these questions and writing the answers, young people can start exploring their inner world, finding a healthy outlet for emotions and express themselves without fear of judgment.

There are 2 ways to join.

1. SIGN UP BELOW AND RECEIVE THE GUIDE

I have created a guide which includes daily questions and extra prompts to help children/students answer the questions. Throughout the challenge, you’ll also receive weekly reminders and resources.

2. FOLLOW THE QUESTIONS DAILY ON INSTAGRAM

Each day I’ll release the question on Instagram where you can follow along on #UPower30daychallenge. I will also post some photos of my journal entries.

  • PARENTS & EDUCATORS

  • When you sign up you’ll receive:

    • A parent/educator guide to coaching your children/students through the challenge.
