Choose To Be Confident

Believe it’s possible for you to be confident!

If you choose not to believe in the possibility of who you can be then there is no space for change or growth.

When you like yourself and feel comfortable in your own skin it’s much easier to take on new situations. One activity that has really helped boost my self confidence is affirmations which I call UPower thoughts. ⠀

UPower thoughts are words or phrases that I write on a sticky note or piece of paper and then I place them somewhere that I will see every day. For example:

  • I choose to believe in myself
  • I love who I am
  • I deserve to be happy
  • I learn from my mistakes
  • I believe in my skills and abilities
  • I am enough
  • I matter.
  • I am confident
  • I will succeed
  • I trust myself

At first, when you say your UPower thought to yourself, your brain may say, ‘Yah, right!’ – mine did. You may even have moments when your mind wanders into negative territory, but choose to be conscious of those thoughts and bring them back to your UPower thoughts.

It is up to you to choose the thoughts you hold in your mind. Keep replacing any negative thoughts with your uplifting, UPowering ones. Stay committed to it and it will start to become a habit and a new way of thinking. Over time you will notice growth in your confidence and self-esteem.
